Agribank supports 15 billion VND to build charity houses for disadvantaged households in Dak Lak

On March 21, 2024, in Dak Lak, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with units to organize a ceremony to present model houses and funding to support house construction for the poor and those with housing difficulties in the province. On this occasion, Agribank supported 15 billion VND to build houses of gratitude for households in difficult circumstances in Dak Lak. Attending the ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of departments X04, X03, V05, Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security; leaders of the People's Committee, People's Council, Fatherland Front Committee of the province, leaders of the provincial police, representatives of departments, branches and sectors of the province; representatives of commercial banks - sponsors of the program. Comrade Tu Thi Kim Thanh - Member of the Board of Members of Agribank attended and presented the symbol of Agribank's social security funding at the ceremony. With the tradition of "helping each other", "national love, compatriotism, love and mutual support" of the nation, in recent years, implementing the general policy of the Party and the State, the Ministry of Public Security has always focused on caring for and improving the quality of life of the poor and disadvantaged people nationwide. To date, the Ministry of Public Security has supported the construction of 15,000 houses, along with many boarding schools in the provinces of Son La, Dien Bien, Cao Bang, Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, Thanh Hoa, Lang Son, Hoa Binh, Nghe An, Soc Trang, Bac Kan... The program to build and present 1,200 houses to poor households, ethnic minorities, policy households, families with meritorious services to the revolution, and those with housing difficulties in 15 districts, towns, and cities of Dak Lak province, launched by the Ministry of Public Security, has profound political significance and humanistic values.

Representatives of the Ministry of Public Security, Provincial Party Committee, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee and Sponsors presented model houses to two households in Cu M'gar district.

The Central Highlands in general and Dak Lak province in particular are the "fence of the Fatherland", a strategic area, especially important in terms of socio-economics, national defense and security, and dialogue of the whole country, ethnic groups with a tradition of solidarity and steadfast revolutionary struggle and rich cultural identity. In every stage of the revolution, our Party and State have always paid special attention to leadership and direction, with many policies and strategies for socio-economic development and ensuring social security. Currently, this area has been identified by the Politburo, the Central Party Committee, and the Government as the driving force for socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the Central Highlands. Under the attention, direction and leadership of the Party and State, the participation of ministries, branches, sectors, local Party committees and authorities, and the active participation of the people, Dak Lak's socio-economic development has made significant progress, people's lives have been improved, and national defense and security have been maintained. However, with the characteristics of being the 4th largest province in the country with diverse and rugged terrain and a long land border, a large population, and being frequently affected by natural disasters and heat waves, the number of poor and near-poor households in Dak Lak province is still high. Many households have difficulty with housing and are in dire need of support to stabilize their lives.

With the help and support of sponsors, including Agribank, the Ministry of Public Security has resolutely directed functional units to design house models, methods and implementation methods so that Dak Lak Provincial Police can take the lead and join hands with the people to build houses, contributing to stabilizing the lives of poor people in the province. Up to now, 2 model houses have been completed in Cu M'gar district, striving to complete 1,200 gratitude houses by the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2, towards the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak province (November 22, 2024), giving them to poor households with housing difficulties in 15 districts, towns and cities in Dak Lak province. Each house is worth about 80 million VND, 36m2 wide with solid walls, corrugated iron roof, tiled floors and iron doors.

Responding to and accompanying the Program to build 1,200 houses for the poor in Dak Lak province, launched by the Ministry of Public Security, Agribank officers and employees wish to join police officers and soldiers nationwide in continuing the fine tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" and "Mutual love and affection" of the Vietnamese people. Also through this program, Agribank wishes to join the Ministry of Public Security, the Banking sector and Dak Lak province in contributing to continuing to effectively implement the National Target Programs on poverty reduction and sustainable social security, building new rural areas, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period of 2021 - 2030 according to the policies of the Party and the State. Particularly in the Central Highlands region, including Dak Lak province, over the past years, Agribank has focused on implementing many meaningful social security programs such as: sponsoring the construction of gratitude houses for the poor, policy families, and those in difficult circumstances; Building schools, medical stations, traffic works; giving gifts to poor and near-poor households, families of war invalids and martyrs, people with revolutionary contributions; taking care of heroic Vietnamese mothers; supporting poor students to overcome difficulties, disabled children to strive to improve their lives...
