In a livestream broadcast on October 26, Soe Min Tun revealed that Mr. Nawat suggested that Myanmar pay $25,000 (over VND630 million) to buy the Country's Power of the Year award. The award later went to the representative of Thailand.

When asked about the case of beauty Thae Su Nyein, Mr. Nawat said he wanted to give her one last chance. He is waiting to receive an exact answer from the Myanmar representative about whether to keep the title of 2nd runner-up or not.
