5 newly established departments operating from March 1

Accordingly, the delegates unanimously voted to pass the Resolution to establish the Department of Construction on the basis of merging the Department of Transport with the Department of Construction. Establish the Department of Finance on the basis of merging the Department of Finance with the Department of Planning and Investment. Resolution to establish the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Ngai province on the basis of merging the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Home Affairs. The delegates also unanimously voted to establish the Department of Science and Technology on the basis of merging the Department of Information and Communications with the Department of Science and Technology; Merging the Department of Natural Resources and Environment with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, with the new name of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ngai province. The delegates of the People's Council of Quang Ngai province unanimously voted to change the name of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee to the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs.

At this session, delegates passed a resolution on adjusting the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in 2025. Accordingly, the 18th Provincial Party Committee Conference, 20th tenure, agreed that the growth rate of the gross regional domestic product in 2025 would be from 7.5 to 8.5%.

Based on the proposal of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee met and agreed to adjust the growth target of total product in the province in 2025 to strive to reach 8.5% or more.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van, Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, said: “The new agencies and organizations will come into operation from March 1, 2025 and ensure compliance with the direction of the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the General Secretary, which is to avoid stagnation, disruption, impact, or interruption of our work. The goal set for these newly established agencies and organizations is to ensure quality and efficiency of work.”
