General Secretary To Lam meets with veteran revolutionary cadres, meritorious people, and typical policy families in the Northern region.

Attending the meeting were former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Van An and Politburo members: Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Inspection Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Minister of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang; Minister of Public Security, General Luong Tam Quang; Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai; former members of the Politburo, members of the Secretariat; members of the Party Central Committee, leaders of central and local departments, ministries, branches; veteran revolutionaries, meritorious people, and typical policy families of 28 provinces and cities in the Northern region.

At the meeting, delegates listened to a number of veteran revolutionary cadres, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, historical witnesses... share about their contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, together with the whole country to create the great victory on April 30, 1975, completely liberating the South and reunifying the country.

On this occasion, at the meeting, the awarding ceremony of 80-year and 50-year Party badges to party members took place.

General Secretary To Lam presented the 80-year Party membership badge to former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Dang Quan Thuy.

Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia presented the 50-year Party membership badge to two party members.

Next, General Secretary To Lam delivered an important speech, highlighting the historical achievements of our country in recent times; at the same time expressing gratitude and respect for the contributions of revolutionary veterans, meritorious people, and exemplary policy families to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the Nation. The General Secretary also informed about the major orientations for national development in the new era, the era of the Nation's rise...
