3 mother and children were swept away by flood while crossing a spillway in Nghe An

Tonight (September 20), the leader of Anh Son District People's Committee said that at nearly 4:00 p.m. the same day, at Khe Coc bridge (Hamlet 4, Hoa Son commune), an incident occurred where a mother and her children were swept away by the water.

Witnesses at the scene said that a mother and her three children were riding an electric bicycle across the spillway when the floodwaters rose rapidly and were suddenly swept away by the current. The two children managed to cling to a bamboo bush and were rescued by people in time, while the mother and her electric bicycle are missing.

Initial information, the mother is Ms. Pham TT (born in 1986), residing in village 8, Tuong Son commune, Anh Son district. This afternoon, Ms. T. took her child home from Hoa Son commune to school, when crossing Khe Coc bridge, the accident happened.

Currently, rescue forces are still searching for missing victims.
