"3 encounters, 4 knowings" in military recruitment in Van Don

Van Don district has implemented the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025 in accordance with the correct procedures, promoting democracy, openness, fairness, and compliance with the law. The district has done a good job of "3 meetings, 4 knowledge" to gradually complete the profiles of selected youths who are qualified to join the army.

Cai Rong Town Military Service Council met with the family of Mr. Truong Nguyen Thai An (Zone 2, Cai Rong Town).

We accompanied the working group of the Military Service Council (NVQS) of Cai Rong town to the family of young man Truong Nguyen Thai An (Zone 2, Cai Rong town) to carry out the "3 meet, 4 know" infiltration step (meet the citizen, family, locality; know about health, culture, background, ethics). The members of the Council met with the family, learned about and grasped the family's economic situation; the citizen's ideology, aspirations, education level, and moral qualities. At the same time, they encouraged, propagated, and disseminated the policies of the Party and State so that the family and young man clearly understood the rights and obligations of citizens in performing military service as well as after completing military service.

Mr. Truong Nguyen Thai An shared: “After knowing the good results of the medical examination and being eligible to join the army, I was somewhat worried and anxious about the journey ahead. However, I was visited and encouraged by representatives of the Party Committee, government, departments, organizations and officers of the District and Town Military Command, so I felt secure to join the army.”

According to Mr. Truong Van Thang, Commander of the Cai Rong Town Military Command, to effectively implement the "3 meetings, 4 knowledge" program, the Town Military Service Council has established a working group consisting of officers from the District Military Command, the Town Military Command and other members. After coordination, the working group visited each family to visit, encourage, and meet with comrades in the Party cell and village chiefs where the youth resided to clearly understand the youth's information, family circumstances and other related social relationships. Thereby ensuring that citizen information and records are accurate, tight and complete.

With the motto "Recruiting the right person", after completing the military service examination, under the direction of the District Military Service Council, the District Military Command developed a plan to monitor the infiltration base; assigned cadres to coordinate with the Military Service Councils of communes and towns to organize infiltration according to the plan. Through the implementation of "3 meetings, 4 knowing", the Military Service Councils at all levels have firmly grasped the quantity and quality of young people ready to join the army. Thereby, promptly grasping the thoughts, aspirations of young people and their family circumstances. This is an important step to complete the records of young people who have passed the military service examination and are qualified to join the army; as a basis for the Military Service Councils at all levels to finalize the list, issue orders to call citizens to join the army; ensure that 100% of young people who have passed the military service receive their orders to join the army on time as prescribed.

From December 16, 2024 to now, the district has completed the "3 meetings, 4 knowledge" infiltration work; ready for the next steps in the military recruitment process. Lieutenant Colonel Dao Vuong Trieu, Commander of the Military Command, Vice Chairman of the District Military Service Council, said: This year, the medical examination work is applied according to new regulations, with higher requirements than previous years, so the selection process encountered many difficulties. However, the District Military Service Council has directed the Military Service Councils of communes and towns to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the stages and steps according to regulations. The Military Service Councils at all levels have issued orders to call for military service health examinations for 394 citizens, of which 142 citizens (36.04%) are healthy. The whole district has 58 citizens who have volunteered to join the army. Along with the selection and calling of citizens to join the army, the Party committees and authorities of communes and towns will have practical gifts to encourage the spirit of citizens before they leave for the army. The Military Service Councils at all levels and departments, branches and organizations in the district political system are determined to complete 100% of the assigned targets with the best quality.
