Accordingly, at 11:15 a.m., the fishing boat QB 11429 owned by Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung (born in 1976, in Nam Phu village, Quang Phu commune, Dong Hoi city), was anchored in the above area when it suddenly caught fire.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, the Provincial Police coordinated with Nhat Le Border Guard Station, local authorities and the family to make efforts to rescue.

The forces have brought the fire under control.

However, due to strong winds at this time and a lot of unused oil on the ship, the fire spread quickly and flared up fiercely, making it difficult to extinguish.

At around 12:30 p.m. the same day, the fire was extinguished. There were no casualties, but all assets and most of the fishing boat QB 11429TS were burned down; initial damage was estimated at around 1.2 billion VND.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
