Thanh Hoa Province Department of Education and Training requires educational institutions to arrange funds and set spending norms for extra teaching and learning in schools.
On February 18, news from the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province said that the Department has just sent a document to the Department of Education and Training and affiliated educational institutions regarding the implementation of a number of contents after Circular 29 on extra teaching and learning takes effect (from February 14).
Accordingly, the Department requires educational institutions to effectively promote existing human resources, facilities and funding to develop plans to organize extra teaching and learning in accordance with regulations, especially for final year students.
Flexible arrangement of direct and online teaching solutions, direct combined with online, one teacher can teach many students; arrange funding for extra teaching and learning in schools from the budget allocated in 2025; develop internal spending regulations, including regulations on the level of spending for organizing extra teaching and learning.
Along with that, it is necessary to strengthen the management of extra teaching and learning inside and outside of school; focus on improving the quality of regular teaching hours, guiding and supervising students' self-study, and encouraging them to study and research on their own through software, lecture videos, and review websites.
Implement well the differentiation of students, prioritize the arrangement of teachers to guide and help students with unsatisfactory or satisfactory learning results; guide students with good and fair levels to self-study and review individually or in groups.
For final year students, priority should be given to teachers with good professional and technical skills to teach, and it is necessary to limit the assignment of these teachers to other tasks.
Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training recommends that in cases where educational institutions cannot arrange funding for incentives, teachers should be encouraged to teach additional knowledge without collecting money from students.
For schools, it is necessary to promptly detect, commend, reward and replicate examples of collectives and individuals who teach and review for free, are dedicated, enthusiastic, wholeheartedly devoted to students, and achieve high efficiency in educational work.
