Tourists choose goods at Hai Tien Tourist Market - Night Market (Hoang Hoa).
As a beautiful beach of the province, every season, a large number of tourists flock to Hai Tien beach (Hoang Hoa), increasing the ability to consume goods and services on the spot, promoting the development of local trade activities. With that advantage, from the end of April 2024, Hai Tien Tourist Market - Night Market of Hai Tien Investment and Tourism Company opened, marking the milestone of the market officially going into operation from the beginning of summer 2024.
With a total investment of more than 12 billion VND, the market has nearly 30 stalls that are solidly designed and reasonably arranged to attract tourists. The stalls display local specialties and products, Thanh Hoa province and other localities across the country such as: OCOP products, processed agricultural products, beverages, fruits, confectionery, handicrafts, souvenirs... ensuring quality, hygiene and safety and origin of goods. During the peak summer tourist season, the market opens from 7am to 12pm to meet the sightseeing and shopping needs of locals and tourists. All stalls have cashless payment methods and use QR codes to trace the origin of products. On weekdays, the market often organizes cultural exchanges for visitors, and on weekends there is a live music program.
Since its inception, the number of traders in the market has increased to 40 stalls; the number of visitors has also been maintained at a stable and even level, peaking on the occasion of the April 30 - May 1 holiday when the market attracted more than 1,500 visitors per day. Thanks to that, the market's revenue by the end of May reached 1.5 billion VND. The establishment of the Hai Tien tourist market - night market is considered one of the effective trade promotion activities associated with tourism, contributing to promoting the development of the night economy, creating new products and services for tourists and locals to experience when traveling to Hai Tien in particular and Thanh Hoa province in general.

In this year's summer tourism activities, the Fair to display, promote and introduce OCOP products on the occasion of the Nghi Son Sea Tourism Festival 2024 was held from April 26 to May 1 with 40 booths of 27 registered units. This is also an important event to promote trade associated with tourism development. Through the activities at the fair, people and tourists will have more opportunities to exchange culture and purchase quality goods and services at reasonable prices. Thereby promoting the development of the service industry, promoting and introducing to tourists the typical OCOP products of Thanh Hoa.
Organizing trade promotion activities associated with local tourism is one of the highlights contributing to stimulating trade and helping many OCOP products and typical products have the opportunity to go further. Since 2023, Thanh Hoa has organized more than 20 domestic and provincial trade promotion activities. To make the most of the advantages of the peak tourist season, in the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade will coordinate with the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion to plan and actively implement many trade promotion activities and events associated with the tourism advantages of the province. In particular, actively organizing trade fairs in districts, towns and cities; strengthening the organization of Vietnamese goods and OCOP product weeks at tourist destinations; proactively bringing clean agricultural products and OCOP products to restaurants, hotels, etc. This is a solution to help Thanh Hoa's products get closer to tourists, improving the effectiveness of service and tourism development.
