Mr. Le Viet Binh, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in charge of the South, said that the producers and traders of regional specialties and OCOP products are often small, medium and micro-sized business households from rural and mountainous areas. More than anyone else, they need connections to expand distribution channels to reach consumers, so that the products are known to many customers and promote trade.
According to Mr. Binh, OCOP products have been gradually affirming their value and quality in the market, being prioritized by consumers, and the value of rural agricultural products from all over the country has been enhanced. OCOP products have not only become closer to domestic consumers but also reached out to the international market. However, the commercialization of OCOP products is facing difficulties, the absolute value of OCOP products in Vietnamese agricultural products still accounts for a very small proportion, so it is necessary to have solutions to encourage, promote and consume OCOP products for the people.
