Troops deployed to support people in overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3

Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City expressed his gratitude to socio-political organizations and media agencies for their efforts in organizing many meaningful activities in recent days; mobilizing support for people in localities affected by storm No. 3.

Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc discussed and encouraged representatives of agencies and units participating in supporting people in the North affected by natural disasters.

According to Mr. Loc, from the very first days of the natural disaster, the city had many support programs such as transferring support funds, setting up delegations to help people overcome the devastation caused by storms and floods. On September 12, the city held a ceremony to launch support for people, with 91 businesses, units and individuals registering to support, with a total amount of more than 58 billion VND. In addition, goods and medicines mobilized by the city were also transported in many different forms to the northern localities.

At the ceremony, participating agencies and units registered to implement many projects and activities to support people in the North, with a total budget of 43 billion VND.
