The year 2024 has passed with many difficulties and challenges due to the influence of the complicated developments in the world situation; although domestic economic growth has achieved good results, there are still many challenges, prices of goods, services, materials, and production materials have many fluctuations, affecting investment efficiency, production and business, and people's consumption levels... Besides, many localities in the province were severely affected by storm No. 3.
In that context, the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee have focused on leading and directing Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and the people to synchronously deploy solutions to promote socio-economic development. Activities to care for and help the poor from the province to the grassroots continue to attract the participation of the whole society.
In particular, during the Lunar New Year of At Ty, Party committees at all levels, authorities, socio-political organizations, business communities and philanthropists have been carrying out many activities to care for policy beneficiaries, people in especially difficult circumstances... so that everyone can welcome Spring and enjoy Tet in a complete and meaningful way.
Pursuant to Plan No. 264 dated November 8, 2024 of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society on implementing the "Humanitarian Tet" Movement in the Spring of At Ty - 2025 and the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Red Cross Society has developed Plan No. 32 dated November 14, 2024 on implementing the "Humanitarian Tet" Movement in the Spring of At Ty 2025.
Accordingly, the Association at all levels consulted, proposed and issued the Movement Implementation Plan to the Association's organizations and affiliated units; issued official dispatches and invitations to mobilize support to organizations, individuals and philanthropists. The Association proactively coordinated with functional agencies to accurately survey needs, make lists, and develop plans to mobilize organizations and individuals to support during Tet.
In addition to giving gifts and greeting Tet directly; organizing a chain of "Humanitarian Tet Markets", "Tet Service Stores" through the model of distributing gift vouchers at the Humanitarian Tet Market sessions, the Provincial Association also mobilizes support for building and repairing houses; giving health insurance cards; giving wheelchairs, humanitarian medical examination and treatment, giving trees and seedlings...
Ms. Le Thi Quynh Trang - President of the Provincial Red Cross Society said: Taking care of Tet for poor households, near-poor households, households in difficult circumstances, households with people infected with Agent Orange, people with disabilities, patients in difficult circumstances with serious illnesses, households affected by natural disasters in 2024... is of special concern to the Provincial Red Cross Society. Starting from mid-November 2024, the Society at all levels has actively mobilized socialized funding sources to give Tet gifts. Up to now, the whole province has mobilized and helped households in difficult circumstances with 29,886 gifts, worth nearly 16 billion VND; mobilized and organized the Voluntary Blood Donation Program at Hung Vuong University and received 1,250 units of blood, contributing significantly to solving the blood shortage for emergency and treatment at hospitals during the Lunar New Year... In addition, the Provincial Red Cross Society mobilized over 1.5 billion VND to support the construction of 28 new humanitarian houses, which will basically be handed over before the Lunar New Year of At Ty.

Many of us look forward to Tet to reunite, rest, and have fun after a year of hard work, but there are also many people who do not look forward to Tet at all, and are even more worried than usual... because they do not earn enough to eat or wear, due to illness, or poverty that haunts them all year round.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh (born in 1980) in Tien Cat Ward, Viet Tri City has a particularly difficult situation. Her husband passed away, she worked as a construction worker to raise 5 children, including 2 disabled children. Sharing the difficulties of Ms. Minh's family, this year the Provincial Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans chose her family to give Tet gifts. This is a gift containing shared feelings, helping Ms. Minh's family have more motivation to rise up.
Ms. Hoang Thi Chi Thanh - Vice President of the Provincial Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans said: Determining that organizing activities to support and help people with disabilities, orphans and the poor in the province is one of the important tasks, especially during each Tet holiday and Spring, the Standing Committee of the Association has proactively mobilized businesses, agencies and units to participate in support and support activities organized by the Association; calling for support on mass media, sending open letters to mobilize and organize activities.
To date, the Association has mobilized 903 gifts, each worth from 300,000 VND to 1 million VND, of which 100 gifts are for orphans and disabled children in difficult circumstances. My family's daily life is still mainly taken care of by me, depending on nearly 3 sao of rice fields and the hat weaving profession... therefore, my family always faces difficulties. Now that the Party, the State, local authorities, and businesses are taking care of us like this, I feel very happy. This is a source of encouragement, motivation, and motivation for us to try to overcome difficulties and move towards better things."
There are still many families with different difficulties. Therefore, every time Tet comes, when they receive help, they cannot hide their joy. Each Tet gift that organizations and individuals support is a gift of love, helping them celebrate Tet more fully.
