The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has just announced a list of administrative sanctions against 11 individuals and establishments in the area, from July 21 to 24.
Many clinics have been fined for advertising using the words “best”, “only”, “best”, “number one” or words with similar meanings without legal documents to prove it as required.
Specifically, Nam Viet General Clinic Company Limited (202 To Hien Thanh, District 10) was fined VND36 million because the facility established a medical examination and treatment book but did not record it fully as required. At the same time, the clinic's advertisement used the words "first", "only", "best", "number one" or words with similar meanings for advertising, without legal documents to prove it.

In addition, the General Clinic of Hoan Cau Medical Services Company Limited (No. 80-82 Chau Van Liem, District 5) was also fined 38.7 million VND by the authorities. This clinic violated the following regulations: Not wearing a name tag, practitioners not registered to practice medicine.
After being fined, both clinics had to remove and delete the violating advertisements.
In addition, also during this period, Van Kiet General Clinic (No. 646 - 648 Vo Van Kiet, District 5) was fined 12 million VND for not fully posting service prices and for practitioners not registering to practice medical examination and treatment according to regulations.
Hoan Cau Medical Services Company Limited (No. 80-82 Chau Van Liem, District 5) was fined 38.7 million VND by the authorities.
Saigon Medical Investment Company Limited (Aesthetic Clinic) at 98 Hoang Trong Mau, District 7 was fined 103 million VND, had its medical examination and treatment license revoked for 3 months, and the practice certificate of the person in charge of professional responsibility revoked for 2 months.
Saigon Medical Investment Company Limited committed violations including: Using practitioners without a medical practice certificate; Advertising special products, goods, and services without having the content confirmed by a competent state agency before advertising; Practitioners not registered to practice medical examination and treatment.
In addition to the fines imposed on clinics, during this period, a series of doctors at general clinics in Ho Chi Minh City were fined 2 million VND and had their medical practice certificates revoked for 2 months for creating medical records that were not clearly and completely recorded according to regulations.
These people include doctors Pham Trung Hoa and Chung Quang Huy (1503-1505-1507-1509 3/2 Street), doctor Pham Thi Thanh Thuy (80-82 Chau Van Liem), doctors Pham Anh Tuan, Ngo Quang Huy, Truong Quang Thai (all at 202 To Hien Thanh).
