Car burst into flames on elevated road

(NLDO)- A truck suddenly burst into flames while traveling on Ring Road 3 in Hanoi.

Initial information, at around 5:45 p.m. on December 23, a truck suddenly caught fire on Ring Road 3, through Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi.

At the time, car with license plate 29C-557.xx was traveling on the elevated Ring Road 3, from Linh Dam to Mai Dich. When reaching the intersection of Nguyen Trai - Khuat Duy Tien (Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi), the car suddenly caught fire at the front. After discovering the fire, the driver promptly stopped the car and left the cabin.

Upon receiving the news, Traffic Police Team No. 7 and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Thanh Xuan District Police dispatched 2 fire trucks and many soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.

By 6:15 p.m., the fire was under control. There were no casualties.

Because the fire occurred right at rush hour, traffic was congested. Authorities diverted traffic and notified vehicles from a distance to avoid congestion when passing through this section of the road.

Currently, authorities are investigating the cause of the car fire.
