DNVN - From 3:00 p.m. on June 13, each liter of gasoline increased from nearly 170 VND to nearly 260 VND. All types of oil, except fuel oil, also increased from nearly 220 VND to more than 300 VND/liter.
During the operating period on June 13, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided not to set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5 RON 92 gasoline, RON 95 III gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene and fuel oil.
Accordingly, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 169 VND/liter to 21,310 VND/liter, RON 95 III gasoline increased by 258 VND/liter to the new price of 22,235 VND/liter.
While fuel oil was adjusted down by VND396/kg to VND16,889/kg, diesel and kerosene increased by VND218/liter and VND302/liter, respectively, to new prices of VND19,640/liter and VND19,859/liter.
From 3:00 p.m. on June 13, gasoline and oil prices, except for fuel oil, will be adjusted up compared to current retail prices.
The decision to adjust gasoline prices this time was made in the context that the world gasoline market from June 6 to 12 was affected by factors such as: the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) raised its forecast for global oil demand growth in 2024, OPEC+ maintained its forecast for increased oil demand in the second half of 2024, the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continued... These factors caused world gasoline prices in recent days to fluctuate between increases and decreases depending on each commodity, but mainly tend to increase.
Since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have increased 13 times and decreased 10 times; while oil prices have increased 11 times and decreased 12 times.
