Last night, the group A, B, C, D series took place with 8 matches. In group A, Man Utd was eliminated with the last position after losing to Bayern Munich. Meanwhile, Copenhagen won the ticket to continue with the second position in the group after winning 1-0 against Galatasaray.
Meanwhile, in Group C, Napoli have qualified after a 2-0 win over direct rivals Braga.
The Italian team ranked second in the group with 10 points. They and Real Madrid (18 points) won tickets to the 1/8 round of the Champions League.
Thus, up to this point, UEFA has determined 14 teams to advance, including:
Bayern Munich, Copenhagen (Group A), Arsenal, PSV (Group B), Real Madrid, Napoli (Group C), Real Sociedad, Inter Milan (Group D), Atletico Madrid, Lazio (Group E), Dortmund (Group F), Man City, Leipzig (Group G), Barcelona (Group H).
Matches E, F, G, H take place tonight. This is also the final match of the Champions League group stage. The last two representatives to participate in the Champions League round of 16 will be determined.
In Group F, PSG, Newcastle, AC Milan compete for the remaining ticket (along with Dortmund). PSG is in the upper hand as they only need to beat Dortmund to advance. However, if they cannot overcome the German club, PSG could be eliminated.
In Group H, Porto will face Shakhtar Donetsk to determine which ticket to the next round along with Barcelona. Both Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk have 9 points, but Porto is ranked higher due to a better goal difference. The Portuguese club only needs a draw to complete their goal.
The draw for the Champions League Round of 16 will take place on December 18 in Nyon, Switzerland. The group winners will be seeded against the runners-up. Teams from the same group or from the same country will not face each other in this round.
