Appearance of Bu Dang district today
During the 15 years of building the new rural area (2010-2024), with the policy of promoting the development of technical infrastructure, Bu Dang has mobilized many investment resources, focusing on large, important and essential projects serving local socio-economic development; upgrading, renovating and renewing a number of roads in the district and Duc Phong town. The inter-commune roads have now been basically asphalted; 100% of villages have red gravel roads, asphalt or cement concrete roads. Implementing the cement concrete road construction program according to the special mechanism of the State and the people working together, the whole district has mobilized to build 447km of new roads. The district has also invested in upgrading and building stations and power grid systems for communes and towns with many capital sources. Thereby ensuring safe, stable and continuous electricity supply for daily life, production and business with the rate of households using electricity reaching 99.86%, contributing to changing the face of rural areas.
Thanks to the development of infrastructure, Bu Dang's economy is gradually shifting in the right direction. Up to now, trade and services account for 33.6% of the district's economic structure; industry - construction - transportation accounts for 24.6%. The district is striving to upgrade Duc Phong town to a type IV urban area and Duc Lieu commune to a type V urban area in the near future.
“ Based on the achieved results, the district continues to restructure the economy according to the orientation of Resolution 24 of the Politburo on the development of the Southeast region, focusing on developing green economy, digital economy, circular economy, sharing economy and other economic sectors to promote development, bringing Bu Dang economy to match its potential and advantages, shortening the gap with other districts and towns in the province. In particular, focusing on developing the inter-regional and inter-district and inter-provincial transport system”. Bu Dang has made great strides after 50 years of liberation, but there are still many difficulties and challenges ahead in socio-economic development... However, with a clear awareness of the advantages of land, climate, many scenic spots, and cultural characteristics of ethnic groups..., the Party Committee, government, and people of Bu Dang district will continue to unite and be determined to promote identities, building the district to develop in the direction of "Green life, peaceful destination".
Social security work, care for the meritorious and the disadvantaged are of interest to all levels of government and local authorities.
