Rural youth with startup model

Cadres and Youth Union members of Doan Dai Phuc commune visited the breeding cow model of Mr. Bui Van Vinh.

Bui Van Vinh was born in 2004, currently a final year student majoring in Refrigeration at Tra Vinh Vocational College. Although Bui Van Vinh has not yet left school, he has had the idea of ​​starting a business raising cows and pigs for many years.

Mr. Vinh confided: After graduating from high school, I chose to study at Tra Vinh Vocational College with the hope of having a job in hand. Besides, I also want to maintain and develop my family's livestock farming business. Currently, I am both studying and working part-time, earning about 7 million VND per month.

To develop a sustainable economy, it is necessary to learn about production and breeding methods, have a clear direction, should not follow the crowd, the movement, see others doing business effectively and then imitate or be discouraged when stumbling. Thinking is doing, Mr. Vinh and his family boldly invested their savings to raise 04 breeding cows and 01 breeding pig (each year the pig breeds from 02 litters or more, each litter has 10 - 12 piglets). His family mainly raises and sells piglets (because the care time is short, the cost is low). Mr. Vinh shared: I just released a litter of 12 pigs, each pig sold for 1.2 million VND, the family made a profit of 05 - 07 million VND.

Talking more about future plans, Mr. Vinh said: In 2025, I will receive a capital support of 100 million VND from the Provincial Social Policy Bank. I will continue to invest in building barns, buying more breeding pigs to develop a model of breeding pigs and maintaining a herd of cows to increase income for my family.

Ms. Nguyen Phan Lam Quyen, Deputy Secretary of Dai Phuc Commune Youth Union, said: Along with innovation and creativity in organizing movements and activities of the Youth Union and Association, in recent times, the Commune Youth Union has always paid attention to implementing many programs and activities to accompany young people in starting and establishing businesses. Currently, Dai Phuc has 02 groups borrowing capital from the Policy Bank with 93 members, with a total outstanding debt of over 2.8 billion VND.

In addition to coordinating the organization of training courses on science and technology transfer, and promoting career counseling among the Youth Union, the Commune Youth Union also coordinates with the Social Policy Bank to mobilize capital sources to support young people in economic development, such as the pig breeding model of Mr. Tuong Thanh Trieu, a member of the Tat Vinh Hamlet Youth Union with a capital of 70 million VND and supporting Ms. Pham Thi Bich Nhu, a member of the Rach Cat Hamlet Youth Union with a capital of 100 million VND to implement the pig breeding model. Thanks to that, young people have more conditions to develop models, increasing their family income.

According to Mr. Luong Huu Loc, Secretary of Dai Phuc Commune Youth Union, the practical activities as well as the results achieved in the movement "Accompanying young people in starting a business and establishing a career" have affirmed the role of the Youth Union in social life, contributing to promoting the pioneering spirit of young people in socio-economic development in the locality. At the same time, through the movement, it has attracted and gathered young people to participate in the Youth Union.

Dai Phuc Commune Youth Union currently has 83 members in 8 branches. In the coming time, the Commune Youth Union will continue to accompany the youth, coordinate with the sectors to mobilize support capital sources so that the youth's startup ideas will soon become reality.
