Quynh Luu district is considered the “pineapple granary” of Nghe An province with a scale of more than 1,400 hectares, spread across Tan Thang, Quynh Thang, and Quynh Chau communes. In recent years, pineapple has been considered a key crop, directly bringing stable economic efficiency to growers.

In 2024, the entire Tan Thang commune harvested 25,000 tons of pineapples, the result of a close connection between people and businesses. One of the pioneers in purchasing and supporting pineapple production here is Tuan An Agricultural Products Company Limited.

This enterprise is purchasing over 300 hectares of pineapples from Tan Thang commune. Thanks to stable output, people do not have to worry about the situation of "good harvest, low price, good price, bad harvest" as before, which is an important premise for households to boldly invest and apply advanced farming methods to improve productivity and product quality towards the export market.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Chairman of Tan Thang Commune People's Committee, affirmed that the participation of enterprises such as Tuan An has significantly raised the level of pineapple cultivation. With a long-term vision and a fairly stable economic potential, the company is capable of purchasing most of the products of Tan Thang farmers, not to mention applying policies to support fertilizers, seedlings and cultivation techniques.

“The application of science and technology in production helps improve the quality of pineapples, increase economic value and expand the consumption market. Tuan An Company is like a support, helping households focus on production. In particular, the coordination between the company and Nafoods factory will create a big push to support the expansion of raw material areas, ensure a closed production chain and promote consumption in large quantities.

The practical effectiveness has been proven, from the existing foundation, in the coming time Tan Thang commune will focus on expanding the raw material area, moving towards building geographical indications to meet the increasingly strict demands of the market, thereby fully promoting the potential and advantages of the local soil", Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh shared.

One of the households that directly benefited from the partnership model with Tuan An Agricultural Products Company Limited is Mr. Duong Dinh Duc, residing in Tan Thang Commune, Quynh Luu District. Currently, his family owns more than 5 hectares of pineapple. Thanks to the active support of partners, Mr. Duc's pineapple garden always achieves high productivity and outstanding quality.

“According to the company’s purchase price, after this crop, the family is expected to earn about 1.2 billion VND. After deducting expenses, the net profit can be more than half. The economic efficiency of the pineapple growing model is undeniable. Growers and businesses share the same goals, both sides show high responsibility in the cooperation process, which is the foundation of a strong connection, the key lies there,” Mr. Duc emphasized.

Tuan An Company's ambition does not stop at the scope of Quynh Luu district, this is demonstrated through the cooperation with Nafoods to develop the raw material area in the highland commune of Tri Le, Que Phong district, a border area with a large number of ethnic minorities living. In 2025, it is expected that the two enterprises will join hands to pilot the planting of 100 hectares of pineapple, if all goes well, they will proceed to expand the scale many times.
