(Dan Tri) - Regarding the case of an 8th grade female student's family filing a complaint against a teacher working in Dak Lak for sexually abusing her in the dormitory, the school was instructed to ensure that there was a female teacher on duty at night.
On December 2, a leader of the Department of Education and Training of M'Drak district (Dak Lak) confirmed that he had directed the Board of Directors of the Boarding School in Ea Trang commune (M'Drak district) to arrange for female teachers to be on duty at night to ensure objectivity.
According to the Department of Education, although it is a boarding school, the school in Ea Trang has a dormitory for students from far away. Due to the school being 25km from the district town center, there are few female teachers and they all have small children, so for a long time the school has had male teachers on duty at night.

"I have thoroughly instructed that no matter how difficult it is, the school must arrange for female teachers to be on duty at night. In the case of a teacher of this school being accused of inappropriate behavior by a female student's family, the District Department of Education and Training has received the information and is waiting for the conclusion from the authorities.
It is very unfortunate that when the female student was sick, if the teacher had called more female students to help, it would have been more objective," said the leader of the Department of Education and Training of M'Drak district.
According to the boarding school leader, at the beginning of the school year, the female teacher applied to be on duty during the day because her child was often sick and her husband was away on business trips, and the school considered having the male teacher take over in the evening.
"Up to now, my school has arranged for 100% female teachers to work at night. For female teachers with small children, the school arranges beds so they can both look after their children and work at school," said the school leader.
It is known that this boarding school has more than 470 students, of which 140 are boarders (60 girls, 80 boys).
As Dan Tri reported, recently, the family of an 8th grade female student studying at a boarding school in Ea Trang commune filed a complaint with the authorities about her being sexually abused by the teacher in charge of the boarding school.
According to the report, the incident happened on October 10 when the female student fell ill and was taken to the school's medical room by her teacher.
It was not until November 4 that the girl’s family learned about the incident from other students in the same dormitory. Since then, the 8th grade girl has returned home and refused to return to school.
Immediately after the incident, M'Drak District Police stepped in to verify and investigate, and the Dak Lak Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs sent a dispatch urging all levels and sectors to join in, handle the case strictly, with the right person and the right crime, protecting the rights and best interests of children according to regulations.
