At around 2:00 p.m. on April 3, smoke and fire broke out from the top floor of a 5-story building of about 200 square meters located on Nguyen Van Cong Street, Ward 3, Go Vap District. At that time, many people in the building tried to put out the fire but failed, so they shouted and ran away to escape.

The fire raged fiercely, engulfing the rooftop rooms. On the roofs of these rooms were dozens of large solar panels. The building was about 1km from Tan Son Nhat airport, so the ground floor was divided into many kiosks for rent selling food, pharmacies, dentists, etc.
At the time of the fire, the building was under repair. At the time of the fire, there were about 5 workers on the top floor trying to put out the fire, but the fire broke out so strongly that it could not be controlled. The Go Vap District Fire Prevention and Fighting Team, the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department and the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department dispatched 4 fire trucks and dozens of soldiers to the scene.

Fire police teams climbed onto the roof of the house next door, pulled a hose, and put on oxygen masks to go to the top floor to put out the fire. The teams quickly extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading to the lower floors.
At the scene, the rooftop area was burned and severely damaged, many solar panels were deformed. The impact of the fire caused traffic congestion in this area.
