According to information from the Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection of Quang Tri province, this summer-autumn crop, the whole province produced more than 22,700 hectares of rice, reaching 101.8% of the plan, an increase of nearly 200 hectares compared to the summer-autumn crop last year.

Of which, the large-scale rice field area reached nearly 6,000 hectares; the production and consumption linkage area was over 1,400 hectares. As of September 4, the whole province had harvested the summer-autumn rice crop with an area of over 21,700 hectares, reaching 95% of the cultivated area.
The remaining unharvested area is about 1,000 hectares, mainly concentrated in Cam Lo district with 100 hectares, Dakrong district with 250 hectares, Huong Hoa district with nearly 650 hectares and scattered in Gio Linh district and Dong Ha city. It is expected that this remaining area will be harvested before September 10.
Through assessment, this year's summer-autumn crop has both a good harvest and good prices. The rice yield is estimated at over 58 quintals/ha, 0.8 quintals/ha higher than the previous summer-autumn crop. The output is estimated at over 132,000 tons. The average fresh rice price is 7,500 - 9,000 VND/kg, the average revenue is about 65 million VND/ha, excluding the cost of seeds and essential materials, farmers have a profit of 35 - 40 million VND/ha.
