A typical example is Ca Mau Water Supply Joint Stock Company. Mr. Pham Phuoc Tai, General Director of the Company, shared that in recent times, the company has always proactively implemented consumer protection activities through programs and policies to protect customers' rights; focusing on implementing legal regulations and consumer protection plans of the Provincial People's Committee.

The company has coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade and the Provincial Association for Protection of Consumer Rights to confirm the model contract for providing water supply services to customers, helping customers feel secure when signing the contract. In addition, the company has also reformed administrative procedures, built a one-stop department at the Provincial Administrative Procedure Resolution Center to support customers in resolving questions quickly.

In particular, the company has applied technology in cashless water bill payments, helping to increase the rate of customers paying electronically. Currently, more than 50% of the company's customers have made payments through these methods.

The company has built an ISO-standard water testing room to ensure that the quality of water supplied to people always meets standards. At the same time, the company applies technology in the installation of smart meters and electronic meters to monitor customers' water usage.

The company's goal in the coming time is to increase the rate of customers paying for water without cash to 60% by the end of 2025, while continuing to improve the treatment process and enhance the quality of water sources.

During the dry season, when water demand increases and water resources may be reduced, the company has plans to invest in improving water supply capacity. The company will continue to regulate water resources and ensure water quality for customers, especially during times of water shortage. The company has been surveying areas with water shortages to find suitable solutions to provide clean water continuously and stably.

In particular, the company has coordinated with local authorities to survey the actual needs of people in disadvantaged areas, remote areas and expand the water supply network. This year, the company plans to connect 2,000 new customers, and has so far completed about 30% of the plan. In the suburban areas of Ca Mau City such as Dinh Binh Commune, Ward 8 and areas with increasing demand for clean water, the company will continue to focus on expanding water supply services.

Another unit that has made significant contributions to the protection of water resources is the Vietnam New Rural Development Project Center. Since 2016, the Center has conducted water resource surveys in Ca Mau and provided more than 20,000 water filtration devices to people in the province. These devices not only help improve the quality of domestic water but also protect public health, especially preventing diseases related to polluted water sources.
