Vietnam Airlines' "orange" flights bring passengers special experiences with meaningful messages about gender equality and respect for women and children.

Different from the usual blue shirt color, on flight VN253 departing from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City on November 18, from ground staff to flight crew all wore orange shirts with ribbons and pins of the same color carrying the message "Respect women and children".

In recent years, Vietnam Airlines has participated in many activities aimed at building an equal society.

On the flight, all passengers also received meaningful gifts such as orange shirts with the Vietnam Airlines logo, special gifts and cups of milk tea.

Vietnam Airlines representative said that through this activity, the airline wants to spread the message about protecting women and children, and promoting gender equality in society to passengers.

This is an "orange" flight - the color chosen by the United Nations as the symbolic color for the global campaign to eliminate violence against women and girls - carrying a meaningful message about gender equality. The flight was carried out by Vietnam Airlines in collaboration with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women).

The flight also responded to the National Action Month for Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence in 2024.

The event was in harmony with UN Women's "Orange the World" campaign - uniting to end gender-based violence, taking place over 16 days, from November 25 to December 10 globally.

Foreign guests excitedly checked in with the event's gift.

After the flight, Vietnam Airlines continued to coordinate with UN Women and Ho Chi Minh City to present meaningful gifts such as blankets and teddy bears to women and children at the city's temporary shelter. On November 19, the airline's representative will participate in the "Ceremony to respond to the National Action Month for Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence in 2024" in Nha Be District.

2024 marks the third consecutive year that Vietnam Airlines has launched the "Orange Bowl" flight to respond to the National Action Month on Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence.

Previously, in 2022 and 2023, Vietnam Airlines' "Orange To" flight activities contributed significantly to creating positive impacts in promoting gender equality.

In addition to the "orange" campaign, on October 1, the airline also coordinated with UN Women to "pink" a flight in response to the Men for Women (HeForshe) campaign with the message "For the women around us".
