The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that the China Power Engineering Consulting Group (CPECC) will share its experience in technology; perfect policies and develop the most effective plan to implement the 8th Power Plan.

On the afternoon of May 27, at the Government Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha received Mr. La Tat Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation (CPECC).
At the reception, the Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the successes of the Chinese energy industry in the process of modernization, conversion and development of renewable energy, mastering everything from design, production to operation and management.
The Deputy Prime Minister believes that further promoting the cooperative relationship between Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises in depth and efficiency, including in the energy sector, will contribute to consolidating and building the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership between the two countries, realizing the vision, viewpoints and policies of the two countries' leaders, and jointly achieving global goals.
Vietnam is implementing energy transition, implementing the National Power Development Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 (Power Plan 8), and adjusting legal policies related to renewable energy development.
With extensive experience in consulting, general contractor, and investor of power and renewable energy projects in the world and Vietnam, the Deputy Prime Minister hopes that CPECC will share lessons learned on technology; perfect policies, develop the most effective plan to implement Power Plan 8; and optimize power transmission in each region with renewable energy sources, hydropower, coal power, and gas power.
"We can also build a comprehensive project including testing policies, technologies, and production of new fuels," the Deputy Prime Minister suggested, affirming that the Vietnamese Government will focus on creating the best conditions and environment for Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises to be able to implement the contents, tasks, and cooperation agreements of the two countries in a practical and sincere manner.
Acknowledging the specific, scientific, and economically effective proposals of CPECC, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Group to work directly with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Electricity Group, and Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group to clarify the relevant legal mechanisms and policies, technical requirements, investment efficiency, and feasibility of the projects.
Thanking the Deputy Prime Minister for taking the time to meet him, Mr. La Tat Hung reported on some outstanding results of CPECC in energy and infrastructure planning research, consulting, assessment, construction survey, design, services, EPC general contractor, investment and business, and development of related exclusive techniques in China, the world and Vietnam.
CPECC leaders have proposed a number of projects to develop integrated energy centers in Vietnam as well as build high-voltage transmission lines, produce new green fuels.../.
