According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather in the Southern region today (March 16) is cloudy, sunny during the day, hot in some places, showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. There is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms. The lowest temperature is from 23 - 26 degrees Celsius, the highest is from 32 - 35 degrees Celsius, some places are over 35 degrees Celsius.

With average humidity ranging from 60% to 75%, the feeling of heat will become even more uncomfortable. Experts recommend that people drink enough water, limit going out during peak hours when the sun is hot, wear cool clothes and cover up carefully when moving outdoors.
In particular, during localized thunderstorms, people should avoid taking shelter under tall trees, billboards and electric poles to avoid lightning strikes and dangerous gusts of wind. Those traveling by motorbike should bring raincoats to proactively respond when the weather changes suddenly.
According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, unseasonal thunderstorms in Ho Chi Minh City may occur on March 16-17 and March 23-24.
