On this occasion, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong respectfully invited President Vladimir Putin to pay an official visit to Vietnam soon, and President Putin happily accepted. The two sides also agreed to coordinate to arrange the visit at an appropriate time.
Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russian media that the time of the visit will be agreed upon through diplomatic channels and there is currently no specific date.
During the phone call on March 26, President Putin respectfully thanked General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong for the timely visit and condolences of the Party, State and people of Vietnam over the losses of the Russian people in the terrorist attack on March 22, 2024.
