Vietnam exempts entry visas for citizens of 12 countries

Vietnam exempts visas for citizens of 12 countries including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, UK, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, with a temporary stay of 45 days from the date of entry.

The Government has just issued Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP dated March 7, 2025 on visa exemption for citizens of the following countries: Federal Republic of Germany, French Republic, Italian Republic, Kingdom of Spain, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russian Federation, Japan, Republic of Korea, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Sweden, Kingdom of Norway and Republic of Finland with a temporary stay of 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type or purpose of entry, on the basis of fully meeting the entry conditions as prescribed by Vietnamese law.

The visa exemption policy for citizens of the above countries entering Vietnam will be implemented from March 15, 2025 to March 14, 2028 and will be considered for extension according to the provisions of Vietnamese law.

Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP dated March 15, 2022 and Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP dated August 14, 2023 of the Government expire from March 15, 2025.
