VIB launches card design personalization feature

Vietnam International Bank (VIB) announced the launch of the feature of personalizing card design according to needs with the support of generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) technology from Fiza x Zalo AI.

This is the bank's next breakthrough in its journey to achieve its goal of leading in personalizing user experience, giving customers the opportunity to express their style and personal mark through the image printed on their credit cards.

Ms. Tuong Nguyen - Director of VIB Card Division - shared: "With the feature of personalizing card design according to demand, we are proud to bring an unlimited creative space, where each customer is free to express their unique personal mark on their card. This is a new feature of credit cards, and at the same time a bridge between modern technology and individual needs, helping to affirm our leading position in card trends in Vietnam".

Experience differently

With the feature of personalizing card design according to needs, customers can now design a unique credit card, bearing their own personal mark and expressing their own personality. Just visit https://carddesign.vib.com.vn , customers will have two interesting creative options:

Freely create with Gen AI : Customers upload personal photos or take new photos, then Gen AI technology will help "transform" these images into unique artistic styles, from fun chibi images to sophisticated works of art.

Choose photos from VIB's library : Customers can choose available designs from the rich image library provided by VIB, with many outstanding themes and styles, suitable for a variety of personal preferences.

From now until October 31, all new and existing VIB credit cardholders have the opportunity to experience the feature of personalizing card design according to their needs completely free of charge.

Combining modern technology and unique needs

VIB has strongly promoted the trend of credit card personalization with the Super Card line of cards, allowing customers to choose features from points accumulation, cashback, preferential spending categories, to card number, statement date, minimum payment amount for their own card. This flexibility has created a turning point in the way users approach and use credit cards in Vietnam.

The bank then expanded the feature to allow the selection of statement dates, minimum payment amounts, automatic payment amounts, and transaction limit adjustments right on the MyVIB app for all of the bank's credit cardholders. Cash Back and Family Link cardholders can also select and adjust their cashback categories.

Through the combination of Gen AI and personal creativity, the bank has been constantly innovating and applying modern technologies to the credit cardholder experience.

The bank's pioneering steps in personalizing user experience in recent times have contributed to creating a new perspective on credit cards - no longer simply a "spend first, pay later" tool but has become a companion that brings many conveniences and benefits to users.

Thanks to continuous innovation and focus on customer experience, meeting diverse spending needs of users, the bank affirms its leading position in card trends when it is continuously at the top of the market in terms of number of cards issued, total card spending, and high credit rating from prestigious international organizations.

By the end of September 2024, the bank had 800,000 cards in circulation, 9 times more than 6 years ago. From 2018 to 2023, customer spending via bank credit cards grew more than 11 times, reaching a total spending milestone of 4 billion USD in 2023, leading Mastercard's market share in Vietnam. VIB also received a series of awards such as "First bank to apply AR technology to credit cards in Vietnam" from Visa and "Breakthrough in credit card digitalization" from Mastercard.
