On the afternoon of December 28, the National Economics University announced its 2024 university enrollment plan. Accordingly, in 2024, the school plans to enroll 6,200 students through 3 methods.
Basically, the school maintains the same enrollment plan as in 2023, with 3 options. However, with option 3 (combined admission), the school has eliminated the combined admission for specialized students, the group of students whose academic records are among the factors considered.

It is known that last year, the National Economics University reserved 10% of the total enrollment quota to consider candidates from specialized programs or specialized schools. For this group, the admission score includes the average score of high school (grades 10, 11, 12), the score of the 2 high school graduation exam subjects, and priority points if any.
Speaking to Thanh Nien , Associate Professor Bui Huy Nhuong, Vice Principal of the National Economics University, explained: "The school has based on a number of reasons to abandon the consideration option for this group of candidates. First of all, among the specialized candidates, many have passed by other methods.
The rest, because they do not meet the requirements to pass the other methods, must use their academic records to consider admission. The school found that most of the students' academic results at the National Economics University were not similar to their admission scores. In addition, there are a number of other reasons, but basically, for the two reasons I just mentioned, the school finds it unnecessary to maintain this method."
Regarding the quota for each method, the National Economics University plans to allocate as follows: direct admission (as in 2023) is 2% of the quota, admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam (admission combinations as in 2023) is 18% of the quota; combined admission according to the school's enrollment plan (basically the same as last year, only removing the group of candidates for specialized programs and specialized schools) is 80%.
