Why does the beauty care industry attract students?

(NLDO) - At recent career counseling sessions, beauty care has become a "hot" industry that many middle school students are interested in.

After asking questions and receiving advice from teachers at the career fair, Huynh Ngoc Bao Tran and Nguyen Le Phuong Thuy, 9th grade students at Nguyen Vinh Nghiep Secondary School (District 12) were very happy. The two close friends said they were interested in the beauty care industry.

Bao Tran said she has set 3 wishes to enter public high school, while still considering choosing to study beauty care.

When she understood more about the profession, Phuong Thuy expressed her interest and confidence that she could unleash her creativity in this field. The determined student said: "I have decided that after graduating from high school, I will find a vocational school to study hair styling or beauty care. If I am lucky enough to get into university, I will also choose to study majors related to beauty."

Dr. Hoang Quoc Long, Principal of Nguyen Tat Thanh Secondary School (Go Vap District), said that the beauty care labor market is very vibrant. As society develops, people also care more about their appearance and beauty.

"The number of junior high school graduates choosing to study beauty care has increased rapidly in recent years. After 3 years, students who graduate from the intermediate program can continue to study at college to improve their qualifications" - Dr. Long informed.

Chenla University (Cambodia) students come to Vietnam to study beauty care

According to MSc. Nguyen Hoang Tien, Vice Principal of Saigon College of Technology (Tan Phu District), the beauty care industry is always in a state of shortage of high-quality human resources. Enterprises, beauty salons, and spas continuously "order" training at the school.

After graduation, students will have many job opportunities at spas, beauty salons, beauty care centers or open their own businesses.

"In the past, the beauty care industry was not highly appreciated by many people. However, with the current trend, customers are starting to make smart choices, which requires highly skilled and well-trained technicians" - Master Tien affirmed.

According to Master Tien, when studying beauty care, students will learn about cosmetic dermatology, makeup, hair and nail care, massage techniques, spa business, soft skills, etc. Before graduating, students must pass an internship semester at reputable spas and beauty salons to practice practical skills and accumulate work experience.

The number of students choosing to study beauty care is increasing.

"Not only are middle and high school students interested in beauty care, in September and November, the school had two groups of university students from Cambodia come to study short-term in beauty care. Notably, most of these students are studying nursing" - Dr. Long added.
