Why is "Hoi Cuoi" causing a fever during the 2023 Mid-Autumn Festival?

Each musician has a different perspective on the same poem. Therefore, in just one Mid-Autumn Festival 2023, the poem "Hoi Cuoi" by Lam Xuan Thi was composed into two songs by two musicians Vo Hoai Phuc and Hoai An, with "Hoi Cuoi - Late Mid-Autumn Festival" sung by Meritorious Artist Nhat Sinh. In addition, there is also the version "Hoi Cuoi" (music by Nguyen Ngoc Thien) performed by the "child" singer Bao Ngu.

"Cuoi, please ask me. Is the bright moon a moonlit night? Is it Hang up there? Is the banyan tree flying up from the ground? Cuoi, please ask me more. Is it day or night in that faraway place? What shadow is like the shadow of a tree? Who is sitting like a cloud in the sky..." (Ask Cuoi, poem by Lam Xuan Thi, April 7, 2023). The urgent questions in the poem "Ask Cuoi" have actually echoed in the minds of many generations of children. It is thought that in the @ era there will no longer be such innocent children, but children are a separate world that modern science cannot "bully" them! Even though they participate in "fun science" lessons to learn about science with many interesting things, the children still believe in the advice of the Fairy, the Buddha...

When he was alive, the poet Chim Trang often sat and sipped afternoon tea with Lam Xuan Thi at several cafes in the city center. He once said: "The beauty of Lam Xuan Thi's poetry is to renew old words...". This time, in "Hoi Cuoi", the poet once again "renews" old images! Poetry form: Luc Bat, theme: a bright moonlit Mid-Autumn night with Cuoi and Hang... then there is certainly nothing new - and it cannot be any more new and strange when writing poetry about the full moon night of the eighth lunar month!

However, the poem "Hoi Cuoi" has the appearance of a sweet candy like poems written for children often hide. Still the same old images (even very old): Cuoi, Hang, the bright moon, the banyan tree... but the poet Lam Xuan Thi very skillfully transformed into a child with very innocent questions.

The strange thing about the poem "Hoi Cuoi" is that the whole poem is a series of questions from the child that do not need any answers! Because the child asks Cuoi, and whether Cuoi is real or not is also a big question in the child's mind, but on the full moon night of August, looking up at the bright moon, who knows who to ask, so he has to ask Cuoi to ask for him!
