Coming to Hue, most tourists will be fascinated by the Perfume River, Ngu Mountain, mausoleums, temples... but few people know that this place also has a highland called A Luoi with a majestic, dreamy and magnificent landscape.
A Luoi is a mountainous district of Thua Thien Hue province, bordering Laos to the west. With a fresh and cool climate at an average altitude of 600 - 800 meters above sea level, A Luoi is home to many ethnic minorities such as Ta Oi, Co Tu, Van Kieu...
Beautiful route
To get to A Luoi, visitors must conquer a 70km long road connecting from Hue city. This is Highway 49 with quite charming scenery. Visitors can stop along the road to admire the wonderful scenery of Hue as well as create "thousands of likes" photos to attract the attention of friends.

First is the legendary A Co Pass. This is the first challenge for drivers. Because on one side of A Co is a cliff, on the other side is a deep abyss, with dense forest trees. The road through the pass is so difficult, but visitors will be rewarded with the charming and colorful scenery of A Co under the morning sunlight.
After passing A Co Pass, visitors will see a bridge with a unique name - Mo Qua Bridge. This is the second stop that anyone coming to A Luoi should not miss. First of all, its height will really overwhelm visitors. Young people coming here often try to throw a stone into the small stream nearby and listen to the echoing sound to fully feel the length of the deep abyss below the bridge. This place is always a "valuable" place for visitors to take "once-in-a-lifetime" photos with the mountains and forests of A Luoi, Hue.
In addition, along the road leading to A Luoi district, looking on both sides of the road, visitors can also enjoy the beautiful natural scenery with many clumps of bamboo and reeds growing close together, both rustic and close, but also very poetic.
It can be said that the journey to the mountains, silver waterfalls and A Luoi streams is the endless green of the mountains and forests, the honey-yellow color of the sunlight, the gray-blue color of the sky and clouds...

"Memorable" destination
In addition to the natural scenery along the way, when exploring the A Luoi highlands, visitors cannot miss the streams and waterfalls, beautiful gifts that nature has bestowed upon this place.
A Nor Waterfall is 3km northeast of A Luoi district center. It has a beautiful landscape with 3 consecutive waterfalls, 8m, 60m and 120m high. Around the waterfall are undulating wildflowers showing off their colors and scents, interspersed with rocky outcrops covered with thick green moss. If you come here early in the morning, it will be difficult for you to recognize the waterfall, the trees, the hills... because everything is covered by a hazy white mist.
A Lin is a stream 10km from A Luoi town in Hong Trung commune. It is only 500m northeast of the Ho Chi Minh trail. This place has many poetic beaches with clear blue water and wild beauty amidst the vast landscape of mountains and forests. In addition, visitors can also experience services such as renting swimming buoys, sitting stalls... For those who like adventure, there is also the option of moving about 800m to reach Ar Lang waterfall - a place with many beautiful natural landscapes...
Par Le Stream is also one of the places that tourists love the most because it has two large-capacity beaches: Cat Toom Bay and Am Bat Bay. The beach here is both beautiful and wide, over 100m2, allowing visitors to freely play in the cool water. In addition, surrounding the stream is a primeval forest, creating a beautiful landscape.
A Luoi also has old forests containing biodiversity and the beauty of the mountainous region, evoking the wild and majestic vitality of the mountains and forests. The most famous is the forest in A Roang commune, only 30 km from A Luoi town and stretching from A Luoi to Giang district of Quang Nam province. This is a primeval old forest consisting of many ranges of forests that are still quite intact with an area of up to 3,000 hectares and many rare flora and fauna.
