VCS loses direct ticket to MSI and CKTG in 2025

Accordingly, from 2025, Vietnam will participate in a tournament including Asia-Pacific (APAC) teams such as Hong Kong, Macao, Oceania, and Chinese Taipei.

Thus, in 2025, VCS will have to play-off with regions in Asia - Pacific to win a place to attend International events. Competing with the PCS region is the most worrying thing because in terms of level, they are still far ahead of us. For example, the LJL (Japan) and LCO (Oceania) regions have encountered many difficulties, even disappearing from major tournaments.

GAM 2017

After the success of GAM in 2017, it can be said that this is a sad period for the country's eSport industry when we not only did not develop further but also got involved in negative competition. Leading to losing the direct ticket to MSI as well as CKTG.

Not only the VCS tournament, other tournaments such as CBLOL (Brazil) and LLA (Latin America) can also be merged into the LCS tournament. In 2025, LoL will only have 5 major regions including America, LEC, LCK, LPL and APAC.

According to information from Riot Game's post titled "League of Legends Esports: Building a Bright Future", in 2025 there will be a 3rd international tournament taking place before MSI and CKTG.

So starting next season, all regions will start with the 3rd international tournament (the latest tournament from Riot Games). Then, the 2nd tournament will select the teams to attend MSI, the schedule will be later, around early July. The 3rd and final tournament in each region will end at CKTG to select 1 champion throughout the season in each region.

Riot Game also provided additional information about the international tournament slots as follows:

- New event: 1 place per area

- MSI: 2 places per region

- CKTG: 3 spots per region
