It is known that Vietnam is the first country to cooperate with Google to implement this initiative. This is the result of close cooperation between the Department of Information Security and Google in verifying the legality of applications providing essential services such as public services and personal identification for Vietnamese citizens. The goal is to ensure that these applications officially represent state agencies in Vietnam.

The Information Security Department has coordinated verification and recommended that state agencies register applications to be granted identification to expand the list of trusted government applications for users.

According to Mr. Tran Quang Hung - Acting Director of the Department of Information Security, the feature of identifying government applications on Google Play is an important step in supporting Vietnamese people to access trustworthy government applications, contributing to raising awareness and trust in the State's digital services.

There are currently more than 80 government applications in Vietnam that have been granted official government application recognition. The list of applications is published on the Network Trust System (tinnhiemmang.vn).
