On April 15, Do Mixi (Phung Thanh Do), the live streamer with the most viewers in Vietnam, announced that he would stop working with the NimoTV platform since May. The news was surprising as the two sides had worked together for many years. At the same time, Mr. Do is also a streamer with a large number of views and contributed a large amount of revenue to the broadcasting application.

Many members of Refund Gaming, a streamer group founded by this person, also stopped working with the platform since May. Neither Phung Thanh Do nor NimoTV announced the reason for the cessation of cooperation. However, the platform had an unusual reaction when this announcement was made.

Specifically, Rambo (Lam Dinh Khoa), a member of the group founded by Mr. Do, said that the platform no longer distributes the channel's content after April 15. Users are forced to search manually. The above information was also confirmed by Do Mixi in a recent broadcast. According to this person, the platform responded that the problem originated from a technical error.

“There is no technical problem that causes the loss of suggestions on the homepage and search. NimoTV’s response does not satisfy me. It is a big company, the way it behaves is ridiculous,” Mr. Do expressed his indignation in his response to viewers.

After the incident, NimoTV was attacked by many accounts on social networks and rated 1 star on the app market.

The entertainment livestream market in Vietnam has slowed down after a period of hot growth. Many platforms poured massive capital and attracted creators, but eventually had to leave because they were ineffective. The list of applications that have withdrawn from Vietnam includes Azubu, Twitch, CubeTV, Nonolive...

In the recent past, Nimo has had no rivals in the game streaming segment, owning exclusive contracts with many famous creators such as Truc truc game (Dung CT), SBTC (Teacher Ba), Refund Gaming (Do Mixi). However, the two most attractive characters, Dung CT and Do Mixi, have announced their departure from the platform. According to StreamChart, Phung Thanh Do is the broadcaster with the largest number of viewing hours, double that of the next person.

Teacher Ba (Phan Tan Trung), the streamer ranked second only to Do Mixi on NimoTV, said that the contract termination was a big loss for the platform. Other streamers can no longer "benefit" from Refund Gaming's large fan base.

Before ending the partnership, Do Mixi had repeatedly complained about problems with the app. The male streamer received feedback from viewers that the broadcast quality was poor, the resolution was low, and the speed was unstable, reducing the experience. NimoTV also forced creators to use the platform's in-game donation tool, instead of a third-party solution.

The company provides broadcasting solutions in many countries. According to the introduction, Nimo is related to Huya, one of the three most popular streaming apps in China. However, the livestream industry in the country of a billion people is also going down.

Do Mixi is one of the prominent content creators in Vietnam in recent years. His YouTube channel currently has 8 million followers. His personal Facebook group and Facebook also have millions of members.

Recently, Mr. Do was involved in a scandal when his name was mentioned and insulted during a dissing rap competition at the Disney show. The noisy incident was later settled by both parties, and rapper MC ILL publicly apologized on behalf of the organizers.
