Russia-Ukraine war today, October 31, 2024: Ukraine accused the US of revealing its "victory plan" when information about private negotiations was revealed by the US press.
Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelensky accused the US of leaking secret data related to Kiev's "victory plan", including, in particular, the possibility of providing Kiev with precision long-range strike weapons.
Specifically, Mr. Zelensky expressed his indignation at the publication of The New York Times. The newspaper cited a source writing that the final part of the “victory plan” proposed providing Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine. According to the NYT, US officials considered this “a completely impossible request.”
“You see what is happening in the media today. They say that Ukraine wants or wants a lot of missiles, for example, Tomahawks. But this is confidential information between Ukraine and the White House. How to understand these messages? This means that there are no secrets between partners,” President Zelensky stressed.
In addition, Mr. Zelensky complained that Ukraine received only 10% of the aid package voted by the US Congress in 2024. In addition, the partners did not deliver all the air defense systems as promised. “This is not funny at all,” the Ukrainian president said.

The Tomahawk “messenger of war” present in Ukraine will be responded accordingly
Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Defense Committee Yury Shvytkin has warned that countries supplying Tomahawk missiles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will become direct parties to the conflict. “Therefore, in my opinion, a country supplying this type of weapon will become the object of corresponding strikes by the Russian Armed Forces,” said Yury Shvytkin.
Yury Shvytkin also added that the transfer of missiles to Ukraine could serve as a basis for using Russian weapons against Tomahawk launchers in territories such as Romania and Poland. Shvytkin hoped that the West would have enough sense not to comply with Zelensky's request.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Mikhail Sheremet expressed his opinion that Ukraine simply would not be able to use the supplied weapons, as the missiles would automatically become a priority target for destruction by Russia.
The secret points in Mr. Zelensky's "victory plan"
Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said that the secret terms of the “victory plan” were prepared by the US authorities. Azarov explained that Kiev could not independently compile a list of military facilities on Russian territory. Meanwhile, the US has a network of satellites capable of real-time surveillance to do the same.
Mr. Azarov called President Zelensky's announcement of a “victory plan” a kind of ultimatum to Moscow.
No one in the West has any illusions about the “victory plan”; it contains “a series of well-known demands of the Kiev leadership along with some creative additions,” Russian Ambassador to the UK Andrei Kelin noted.
Kurakhovka is about to change owners
Military Summary channel reported that in the south of Donetsk, the Russian army continued to break through to the north and control more positions.
Fighting also intensified in the direction of Kupyansk, and the Russians took control of the first village on the Oskil River. Further attacks took place in the south of the front.
The eastern part of Kurakhovo shows the presence of Russian troops. To the north, Russian reconnaissance units are present in the center of Kurakhovka. Supply routes to the area are under control and the fall of the city seems imminent as the AFU is forced to retreat.
Readovka channel confirmed that Russian soldiers entered the city of Kurakhovo and began attacking AFU defense positions.
Contrary to predictions that Kurakhovo would be surrounded, reports indicate that their vanguard advanced straight into the city center and attacked head-on in the direction of Zaporizhia Avenue.
This could be considered a bold move by the Russian army, which was quite different from the usual siege tactics. Especially since the AFU garrison in Kurakhovo was supplemented by units retreating from neighboring Kurakhovka.
This breakthrough shows that the Russian army determined that now is the best time to attack and defeat the AFU, which is panicking after consecutive failures, and to buy time before winter comes.
AFU forces completely besieged at Kursk
According to Rybar, on the Kursk front, fierce fighting continues in some areas. Russian missile forces and tactical air forces are conducting fire strikes on AFU positions deep in the Sumy region's rear.
In the Glushkovo district, the situation remains tense but stable. There is no new information about changes in the front after the AFU counterattack attempt.
In the Korenevo district, fighting continues in Lyubymivka, but the outcome is unclear. There has been almost no new data from this area recently.
On the Sudzha district side, fierce counterattacks by Russian forces are taking place near Mykhailivka and Martynivka. The intensity of fighting in the area has increased slightly in recent days. Several AFU attacks were repelled in the Plekhovo area.
In Sumy, the Russian military carried out a series of missile strikes on enemy equipment and troop concentrations. AFU positions were hit near the settlements of Khrapovshchyna and Ivolzhanske, while Russian tactical aircraft destroyed a command post in the village of Zhuravka.
