Ukraine essentially supports the two ceasefire agreements with Russia announced by the US on March 25, which include a halt to the use of force in the Black Sea and a halt to attacks on energy infrastructure.

Reuters news agency reported that in a post on social network X, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov emphasized the need for a third country to monitor the implementation of these agreements.
He also affirmed that any deployment of Russian naval vessels beyond the eastern Black Sea area would be considered a violation of the spirit of the agreements and that Kiev had the right to defend itself against such action.
For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that his country and the US have agreed to let a "third party" monitor some aspects of a future ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Zelensky emphasized: "It is not a bad idea, for example, that a European country or Türkiye could participate in the situation at sea and maybe some Middle Eastern country in the energy sector."
In addition, according to the leader, it is necessary to clarify at the upcoming summit on Ukraine in Paris (France) which countries will contribute forces to monitor peace agreements in the Middle Eastern country.
President Zelensky also revealed that the ceasefire agreement related to the Black Sea region and energy infrastructure will take effect immediately from March 25, noting that if Moscow violates it, Kiev will request additional weapons aid and countries need to increase sanctions against Russia.
Also on March 25, Saudi Arabia's Al Arabiya News quoted a Ukrainian official as saying that the latest round of talks between Kiev and Washington in Riyadh had ended. The Ukrainian delegation was led by Pavlo Palisa, Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of Ukraine.
Notably, this round of negotiations took place right after a meeting lasting more than 12 hours between Russian and US delegations the day before, also in Riyadh.
The information was announced by Serhiy Leshchenko, Advisor to the Chief of Staff of the President of Ukraine, on national television. There is currently no official information about the specific results of the negotiations.
However, according to some diplomatic sources, the sides had in-depth discussions on security issues, military support and the possibility of expanding peace efforts through intermediaries.
