The conference was chaired by Mr. Tran Van Khai, Director of the Department of Justice, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Coordinating Council for Dissemination and Legal Education of Kien Giang province.
Attending the conference were representatives of leaders of provincial departments and branches, members of the Provincial Council for Coordinating the Dissemination and Education of Law, legal officials of provincial departments and branches, leaders of district-level People's Committees, district-level legal reporters and commune-level legal propagandists.
Implementing Plan No. 136/KH-UBND dated May 18, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee on disseminating and popularizing new legal documents and implementing a number of tasks of disseminating and educating the law in 2023, at the Conference, the delegates will be directly presented by the reporters with 4 laws and 2 ordinances including the Law on Inspection; Law on Prevention of Domestic Violence; Law on Implementation of Grassroots Democracy; Law on Emulation and Commendation; Ordinance on procedures for People's Courts to consider and decide on sending drug addicts from 12 to under 18 years old to compulsory drug rehabilitation facilities; Ordinance on procedures for considering and deciding on the application of administrative measures at People's Courts.

These laws and ordinances will be introduced to the Conference by legal reporters from the Provincial Inspectorate, Department of Culture and Sports, Department of Home Affairs, and Provincial People's Court.
Speaking at the Conference, Director of the Judicial Department Tran Van Khai suggested that the delegates should focus on researching and discussing unclear issues to further clarify the contents that the reporters had deployed.
After the Conference, delegates are requested to re-introduce the contents of the law and ordinance to officials, civil servants, employees, workers in agencies, units and people in the management area. Thereby, contributing to improving knowledge, awareness of law compliance, and limiting violations of the law in the locality.
