The digital content channel W (We Are The World) was born with the goal of building a reliable multimedia entertainment and education channel. Here, students receive information through accurate filters and have the opportunity to participate in programs as producers and content editors. At the same time, they can express and speak their own voices.
Through the content broadcast on the channel, children will have a playground and a healthy entertainment destination specifically for their age. In addition, parents and schools will have a new perspective on their children's thinking.
Project W is the first multimedia Entertainment - Education channel for children.
This project is hosted by The Dewey School system with the role of consultant of journalist and director Lai Bac Hai Dang. The program is expected to be a place for children to freely speak up, freely express their opinions and views on the world around them, through products made by them on the We are the World channel.
" We are the World will be a place to gather all the sharing, the things that children want to do, want to say. This will be the first time we create a content channel, not of you, but by you and for you", journalist and director Lai Bac Hai Dang emphasized at the project launch ceremony.
The project’s activities and programs are not only about imparting knowledge but also about promoting children’s creative thinking and exploration. Mr. Dang hopes that students can create meaningful products right in familiar activities. For example, when students participate in a summer field trip, they can be creative and share the beauty of the world around them with everyone through the project’s channel.
By participating in a professional production, children are not only equipped with important skills to express their opinions, ask questions, debate, and present their views in public, but also have the opportunity to build self-confidence, perform confidently, and communicate messages effectively.
This project started from Deway but director Lai Bac Hai Dang hopes it will become a destination for all Vietnamese students, both at home and abroad; a familiar address where students regularly send their own creative products; creating a bridge for students to have a playground, show off their products, and speak up.
Journalist Hoang Anh Tu also expressed his surprise at what the students shared. He believes that children can do everything, contrary to the long-standing prejudice that "children don't know anything". " Today's young generation has all the tools, from smartphones to support chatboxes or they can use AI (artificial intelligence) to do many things," said Mr. Tu.
