Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education appoints 2 vice principals

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education has just officially had two vice rectors. Thus, this university has basically completed the positions in the board of directors.

Dr. Quach Thanh Hai, Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education

Today (October 25), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education announced the appointment of two more vice rectors for the 2020-2025 term.

Accordingly, on October 23, at the 24th meeting of the University Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education for the 2020-2025 term, the University Council decided to appoint the position of Vice Principal including: Dr. Quach Thanh Hai, Head of Training Department and Associate Professor, Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh, Head of Construction Department.

Dr. Quach Thanh Hai (52 years old, from Ninh Binh) was a former student of the electrification and power supply department of this university. In 1995, after graduating from university, he stayed at the university to work and held many important positions such as: Deputy Head of the Faculty of Electricity, Deputy Head of the Department of In-service Training Management, Head of the Department of Non-formal Training, Head of the Department of Administration and Project Management, Head of the Department of Training.

Associate Professor, Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh, Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education

Associate Professor, Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh (49 years old, from Quang Binh) started working at the school in 2012, after graduating with a PhD in construction from Korea University. After one year of working, he held the position of Head of the Department of Construction Structures, Faculty of Construction and Applied Mechanics, then continued to hold the positions of Deputy Head of the Faculty of Construction and Applied Mechanics, Head of the Faculty of Construction. In 2019, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor.

Previously, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education had carried out the steps according to the procedure for appointing a vice-rector as prescribed on October 10. Dr. Quach Thanh Hai and Associate Professor, Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh both received high votes of confidence in all steps.

Currently, the Board of Directors of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education has Associate Professor Dr. Le Hieu Giang as Acting Principal and 2 Vice Principals: Dr. Quach Thanh Hai and Associate Professor Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh. Thus, after a long period of vacancy in leadership positions, the University has now basically completed the positions in the Board of Directors.
