Ho Chi Minh City: Binh Tan District proposes to increase nearly 700 public grade 10 quotas

The People's Committee of Binh Tan District has just sent a document to the Departmentof Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City proposing to establish and assign enrollment quotas for grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year to Binh Tri Dong B High School.

Accordingly, Binh Tri Dong B High School, Binh Tri Dong B Ward, Binh Tan District is under construction and is expected to be put into use at the end of 2025.

The People's Committee of Binh Tan District proposed that the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training supplement the 10th grade enrollment plan for the 2025-2026 school year while waiting for the decision to establish the school and appoint management staff for Binh Tri Dong B High School.

In which, the Admissions Council of An Lac High School will support the admission of grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year, and hand over students to Binh Tri Dong B High School when there is an official decision to establish.

Regarding the location and facilities serving teaching and learning activities for the 2025-2026 school year of Binh Tri Dong B High School, the People's Committee of Binh Tan District proposed that the Department allow temporary borrowing of classrooms at Binh Tri Dong B Secondary School at 19 Ten Lua extended, Binh Tri Dong B Ward, Binh Tan District.

The People's Committee of Binh Tan District also proposed that the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City consider appointing Mr. Tran Minh Kha, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Binh Tan District, as principal of Binh Tri Dong B High School.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , an official from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said: "It is expected that the department will propose to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to allow Binh Tri Dong B High School to enroll 15 10th graders with 675 students. If the City People's Committee allows, at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, these 675 10th graders will temporarily study at Binh Tri Dong B Middle School until Binh Tri Dong B High School is completed."

More than 3,000 10th grade enrollment targets for Binh Tan district

Binh Tan district is always under great pressure in terms of enrollment at the beginning of the school year, including enrollment in grade 10. The reason is that Binh Tan has a high urbanization rate and a rapidly growing population. Competing for a place in grade 10 of public schools in this area is a great pressure for students, most of whom are children of poor workers.

This year, if Binh Tri Dong B High School enrolls students on time, it will be good news for people in this area.

Currently, Binh Tan district has 5 high schools enrolling students for the 2025-2026 school year with a total enrollment target of 3,285 10th grade students. Including: An Lac High School with 675 targets; Binh Hung Hoa High School with 720 targets; Vinh Loc High School with 540 targets; Nguyen Huu Canh High School with 630 targets; Binh Tan High School with 720 targets.
