On the morning of April 15, SJC and PNJ businesses continued to maintain the price of SJC gold bars at a high level, buying at around 105 million VND/tael and selling at 107.5 million VND/tael, an increase of 500,000 VND per tael compared to the morning of April 14. This is the highest price of gold bars ever.
The buying and selling price range is maintained at a high level of 2.5 million VND/tael. Some other businesses such as Phu Quy have widened the buying and selling price range of SJC gold bars to 3.5 million VND, when in the afternoon, the buying price of SJC gold bars is only 104 million VND/tael, and the selling price is 107.5 million VND/tael.
Meanwhile, the prices of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold of all kinds were listed by businesses at a lower level, buying at 102 million VND/tael, selling at 105 million VND/tael, an increase of about 400,000 VND/tael compared to yesterday morning. This is also the highest price of gold rings ever.
Gold price today continues to maintain at record high
However, domestic gold prices have fluctuated significantly, as the price of SJC gold bars has increased faster and is widening the gap with the price of gold rings. Currently, the price of gold rings is about 2.5 million VND/tael lower than that of gold bars.
Domestic gold prices remain high following the fluctuations of world prices. In the international market, gold prices are trading at 3,222 USD/ounce, down about 20 USD/ounce compared to the previous session.
In the trading session last night and early this morning, April 15, on the international market, the price of gold fluctuated strongly, at times falling below the 3,200 USD/ounce mark, falling below 3,195 USD/ounce. However, immediately after that, the price of gold rebounded and traded above 3,220 USD/ounce as investors still chose gold as a shelter.
International investors are dumping stocks, shifting capital into gold, and the USD continues to remain at a low level around 99.6 points - the lowest level in more than 2 years... which is supporting gold prices to remain at a high level.
However, experts also warn that gold prices have increased sharply recently. In case the tariff policies of the US and other countries, especially the US and China, show positive signs, gold prices may reverse and decrease sharply.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 101.1 million VND/tael.
