Reading a speech at the ceremony, Colonel Trinh Cong Ruy, Commander of Regiment 375, reviewed the important milestones of the unit.

Specifically: On March 28, 1975, Group 75 under the Police Protection Department, General Department of People's Police - the predecessor of Regiment 375 was officially established. At that time, the unit consisted of 650 officers and soldiers representing the People's Police force, performing the task of ensuring security, order and safety in the area of ​​President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Ba Dinh Square. At the same time, it organized the reception and guidance of domestic compatriots and foreign guests to visit President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

To meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation, on October 1, 2021, the Minister of Public Security signed and issued Decision No. 7872/QD-BCA stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of Regiment 375 under the Guard Command with 7 affiliated units including 4 boards and 3 companies.

Over the past 50 years, Regiment 375 has organized, welcomed, guided, and served more than 65 million people visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum; successfully completed the ceremonial task of escorting motorbikes to absolutely protect the safety of more than 400 delegations of heads of state from various countries visiting and working in Vietnam; more than 700 Ambassadors presenting their credentials; and the honor guard has served more than 4,000 times to serve key leaders of the Party and State receiving foreign guests.

In recognition of the feats and achievements of generations of officers and soldiers of Regiment 375 over the past 50 years, the Party and State conferred the title of Heroic Unit of the People's Armed Forces in the Renewal Period in 2003; awarded the Ho Chi Minh Medal in 1985, the Third-Class Independence Medal in 1995, the Second-Class Military Exploit Medal in 2000, the Third-Class Labor Medal in 1980, the Third-Class Fatherland Protection Medal in 2007 and 2010, and many other noble awards.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the achievements and feats of Regiment 375.

Regarding the upcoming tasks, the Vice President requested Regiment 375 to carry out well the 5 key groups of tasks in the short and long term. In particular, strictly follow the absolute and direct leadership in all aspects of the Party, headed by General Secretary To Lam.

Along with that, continue to innovate and improve the quality of professional work. Strengthen the work of grasping, analyzing, forecasting the situation, identifying early and remotely the risks that threaten the security and safety of the protected target to promptly advise the Party Committee and the leaders of the Guard Command on policies and strategic solutions on the work of protecting the safety of the guard target in the new situation; not to be passive, surprised, or make even the smallest mistake.

Focus on building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, modern guard force and regiment to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

In particular, actively research and apply scientific and technological achievements, advanced and modern technologies of developed countries to serve the work of ensuring absolute security and safety for the protection target, capable of responding to new security issues and new crimes.

At the same time, continue to strictly implement the streamlining of the apparatus according to the direction of the Central Government and the Ministry of Public Security, including adjusting the functions and tasks of Regiment 375 to meet the requirements in the new situation.

At the ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded officers and soldiers of Regiment 375 the Third Class Feat of Arms Order for their outstanding and outstanding achievements in ensuring security and safety in the Ba Dinh political center area.
