Exhibition of works by art students

On March 25, Vietnam University of Fine Arts organized the 2025 Student Fine Arts Exhibition. This year's exhibition is one of the events celebrating the 100th anniversary of the establishment and development of Vietnam University of Fine Arts (1925-2025).

The 2025 Student Art Exhibition displays 159 works by students of all training majors at the Vietnam University of Fine Arts. These are works selected by the Art Council from 239 diverse works of materials and genres by students from all training majors of the University: Painting, Graphics, Sculpture, Art Pedagogy, Theory, History and Art Criticism.

In addition to specialized articles of high artistic value, many authors have expressed their desire to experiment with new media, through introducing installation works, video art, book art, art photography, etc.

Attending the exhibition, artist Trang Thanh Hien said that the Student Fine Arts Exhibition is a meaningful event, marking the beginnings on the path towards professional artistic creation. “These may not be outstanding works, but they are new approaches, opening up creative thinking paths for young people in the future,” artist Trang Thanh Hien affirmed.

According to the Organizing Committee, in the training program of the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, creation is always emphasized as a method of verifying the learning and improvement process of students. The exhibition is a miniature world with countless stories about the lives and thoughts of young people expressed through artistic creation. Among them, there are works that are the result of students' creative practice in localities across the country.

Drawing has always been an indispensable part of the student curriculum, maintained through many generations, to practice skills as well as promote subtle vibrations. In addition, many works are expressed through expressionist and abstract styles, revealing hidden aspects, encouraging viewers to feel and explore for themselves.

The 2025 Student Fine Arts Exhibition takes place from March 25 to April 3, at the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, 42 Yet Kieu, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.
