In Thu Dau Mot City, the delegation visited and provided support to Huynh Minh Tien (born in 2017) who suffers from cirrhosis and Caroli syndrome in Ward 7, Phu My Ward. Tien was diagnosed with the disease at 5 months old and his spleen is currently fibrotic.
Next, the delegation visited the families of Tran Nguyen Hao Nam, Tran Le Ngoc Uyen Nhi, and Tran Ngoc Nha Phuong in Ward 8, Tuong Binh Hiep Ward. The three orphaned siblings are currently living with their mother and grandmother. The mother is the main breadwinner of the family, but in early 2025, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Currently, the mother cannot work, and the grandmother is old and no longer able to work. The family cannot afford the children's tuition fees, and the risk of them dropping out of school to work to support the family is very high.
In Phu Giao district, the delegation visited and provided support to Dong Kha Ngan in Hamlet 3, Tan Long commune. Ngan's family is a poor household in the locality, and she herself has G6PD deficiency. Ngan's mother is also sick, in poor health, and has no stable job, so the family's economy is facing many difficulties.
The provincial "Child Protection" Fund has given 10 million VND in support to Huynh Minh Tien's family; 20 million VND to the three brothers Tran Nguyen Hao Nam; and 15 million VND to Dong Kha Ngan. On this occasion, the local government and benefactors also gave many more gifts to help the families have more money to cover their living expenses.
