Philanthropists give health insurance cards to households in difficult circumstances

The model aims to mobilize philanthropists to care for and support poor, near-poor households, and households in especially difficult circumstances in the ward. Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward will coordinate with Phuc An Saigon General Hospital (Branch 3) to organize medical examinations, treatment, and give free health insurance cards to cases of serious illness in difficult circumstances in the ward.

Every month, the model will support 5 people in especially difficult circumstances; at the same time, mobilize Hoi An pagoda to serve 1,500 free vegetarian meals, banh xeo and 2,000 drinks periodically on Sundays every week; on the 1st and 15th of the lunar month, serve 3,000 free vegetarian meals and drinks.

People were given food as gifts.

At the model launch, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Phu Ward mobilized philanthropists to donate 15 health insurance cards to households in difficult circumstances, each card worth more than 1.2 million VND; donated 10 gifts of necessities to households in difficult circumstances, each worth 500,000 VND; donated 10 bicycles to students in difficult circumstances and elderly lottery ticket sellers; and donated gifts to 5 people in difficult circumstances monthly, each gift worth 500,000 VND.
