(CLO) The Thua Thien-Hue Provincial History Museum has just organized a final relocation to a new location, aiming to restore the original space of the Nguyen Dynasty's Imperial Academy.
After more than 40 years of "living off", the Thua Thien Hue Provincial History Museum is moving the artifacts displayed at the Nguyen Dynasty's Imperial Academy to a new headquarters, returning the relic to its original state for management by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center.

Accordingly, implementing the direction of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, the Provincial History Museum has developed a plan to move artifacts from the warehouse to a new location at 268 Dien Bien Phu (Hue City).
Currently, the museum's warehouse is storing and preserving 32,107 artifacts, including two national treasures: the Van Trach Hoa Altar and the Linh Thai Champa Tower Top Set.
In addition, there are also many important artifacts here such as giant wooden anchors, gun systems, and cannons from the resistance wars against France and the US...
The artifacts were carefully wrapped in thick layers of shock-absorbing plastic bags, foam, and foam padding by museum staff, especially the two national treasures.
During the process of moving artifacts, the unit also requires the transport force to be extremely careful, minimizing the impact of external forces caused by lifting and moving that affect the artifacts.
After all artifacts at the Thua Thien Hue History Museum are moved to the new headquarters, the Nguyen Dynasty Imperial Academy relic will be handed over to the Hue Monuments Conservation Center for management to restore and promote its value.
The Imperial Academy relic site, along with the Nguyen Dynasty royal relic system, was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993.
Due to time and harsh weather in Hue, the wooden structure and walls of the two school buildings of the Imperial Academy have seriously deteriorated. In recent years, Thua Thien Hue province has planned to build this relic into a museum of education and examinations.
