NDO - The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen province said that the total number of tourists to Phu Yen during the Lunar New Year 2025 from January 29 to February 2 (the first to the fifth day of Tet) reached 116,500, an increase of 11% over the same period last year; including 980 international visitors, an increase of 51% over the same period last year.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Thai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen province, before Tet, the Department issued an official dispatch to guide tourism businesses on ensuring conditions for serving tourists during the Lunar New Year 2025 (Official Dispatch No. 89/SVHTTDL-QLDL dated January 9, 2025), requiring tourism and service businesses in the province to improve the quality of tourism facilities and services; post prices and sell at the correct listed prices; strengthen security and order, food safety and hygiene, and ensure environmental sanitation.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen province also organized activities to serve the holidays and Tet such as: Exhibition and experience activities with the theme "Colors of Tet" at the Provincial Museum; Football tournament to celebrate the Party and celebrate the Spring of At Ty 2025 at the Provincial Stadium; Art program to celebrate the Party and celebrate the Spring of At Ty 2025 at Dien Hong Park; Youth basketball tournament to celebrate the Party and celebrate the Spring of At Ty 2025 at Le Trung Kien Gymnasium; Opening of the Spring Newspaper Festival of At Ty 2025 at the Provincial Library...

In addition, tourism businesses in Phu Yen province also organized many activities to serve tourists during this occasion. Thanks to that, the number of guests increased, reaching 64,800, an increase of 9% over the same period last year; including 720 international guests, an increase of 38% over the same period last year. The average room occupancy rate was over 62%; some large-scale hotels with high number of guests during Tet such as Sala Grand Tuy Hoa Hotel achieved 100% room occupancy from the 3rd to the 5th of Tet, Rosa Alba Resort had 100% room occupancy on the 3rd and 4th of Tet, hotels and homestays near the beach had room occupancy rates of over 80% on the 3rd and 4th of Tet.
Total revenue from tourists in Phu Yen during Tet reached 245 billion VND, up 27% over the same period last year, of which accommodation revenue reached 38 billion VND, up 13% over the same period last year...
