NDO - On February 2, the Department of Tourism of Nghe An province said that during the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty 2025, the whole province of Nghe An welcomed more than 430,000 visitors to visit and worship.
According to Mr. Tran Xuan Cuong, Deputy Director of Nghe An Province Department of Tourism, this year's Lunar New Year holiday lasts for 9 days, with favorable weather for people's gratitude, sightseeing, entertainment and recreation activities.
Of the more than 430 thousand visitors mentioned above, there were about 138 thousand overnight visitors.
On February 2 alone, relic sites and tourist destinations in Nghe An province welcomed more than 80,000 visitors.
Destinations that attract a large number of tourists include: Kim Lien National Special Relic Site (Nam Dan district); Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site (Do Luong district); Hoang Muoi Temple (Hung Nguyen district); Con Temple (Hoang Mai town), Dai Tue Pagoda (Nam Dan district); Quang Trung Emperor Temple (Vinh city), etc.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism of Nghe An province said that in order to ensure compliance with the law in tourism business activities, ensure security, order, environmental sanitation and safety for tourists at tourist attractions in Nghe An province during the Lunar New Year, the Department of Tourism Inspectorate and the Department of Foreign Security of the Provincial Police have conducted inspections at tourist attractions in Vinh city, including: the temple of Quan Hoang Muoi, the temple of Emperor Quang Trung, Vinwonder Cua Hoi entertainment area...
Through the inspection, the inspection team requested tourist attractions to further strengthen the work of ensuring security, order, environmental sanitation and safety for tourists. In addition, there should be more specific assignments among members of the management board of relics regarding the work of welcoming and serving guests; the work of ensuring security, order, environmental sanitation and safety for tourists.
The inspection team also requested the Hoang Muoi Temple Management Board to prohibit electric vehicles that do not meet operating conditions from entering the relic's management area; and to put an end to the situation of vendors and parking lot owners soliciting and stalking customers.
Total tourism revenue of Nghe An province during Lunar New Year 2025 is estimated at 479 billion VND.
